"You have to Remember the good times" is what everyone says,
The laughter, the fairy cakes, the sleepovers, the dancing, I remember you loved us in a thousand different ways,
I think of our walks over the fields and hugs we shared each week,
And as I do so, another tear role's silently down my cheek.
Your smile was bright enough to light up any room
God only knows why you had to be taken so soon,
No more confusion or hurt now you're laid to rest,
It's true what they say, he only takes the best.
If god were to grant me just one wish today,
It would be for one last hug from you for I know it would take this pain away.
Grandma, you are so, so loved and yes I speak in the present,
For just because you are gone from earth, we continue to love you in heaven.
I wrote this for Grandma today while thinking about the happy times we spent together. Jessica x

You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she’s gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
She was an angel among us, now she is in heaven looking after us.
I am a lucky man, who had the opportunity to meet a lady so full of love and tenderness.
